The project documents women firefighters' struggle for acceptance in a male-dominated profession in late 20th Century Seattle. The project includes creation of a physical and an online exhibit, development of a digital document library for use in the schools, three public programs for the general public, and an oral history with Bonnie Beers, a long-time woman firefighter.
