Susie Revels Cayton
Biographical Details
- Susie Revels Cayton was the daughter of Hiram Revels, the first black person elected to the U.S. Senate. She became associate editor of the Seattle Republican paper after her marriage to the paper's owner and editor, Horace Cayton. The Seattle Republican was published from 1894 to 1917.
