Washington State Federation of Junior Women's Clubs
Mrs. Rogers served as President of the 30 junior women's clubs in Washington State.
There is no record of a convention in 1945 but there was a state board meeting in October. Castle Rock became a club that year.
Mrs. Pratt, WSFWC President, asked the Juniors to survey youth activities in their districts.
A health survey was conducted through clubs for the state. They inspected and reported on sanitation, dairy conditions, restaurants, bakeries and other items pertaining to health in Washington.
The Juniors also petitioned theatres showing movies that tended to create psychological disturbances detrimental to the children's emotional experience and development.
June of 1946 saw a convention at the YMCA in Tacoma with 90 Juniors registered. It was the 50th Anniversary for WSFWC and the 11th convention for Juniors.
There was $415.03 in the treasury of which $100 was voted to be set aside for recreational help to the Blind School in Vancouver. Federation went on record as favoring the North, West, South East Highway development.
Seven clubs were federated: Sumner, Sorella, Alivio, Lovalju of Parker, Brewster, Tahoma, and Colfax Jr. Alter Ego Club.
